Tenga looks to open 100 branded stores

Tenga has started opening shop-in-shops in Japan, and it has ambitious plans to have a further 20 this year and 100 before 2020, when Tokyo will be host of the Olympic Games. The first Tenga Shop opened in the Namba area of Osaka, Japan, on December 23rd 2015 and the company says that sales were subsequently up 400% compared to the same month in 2014. The second shop opened in the Akihabara area of Tokyo on the 28thof January.

In addition to Tenga’s full range of products, the shops also showcase a variety of branded merchandise, such as T-shirts, caps, and limited edition items.

Tenga director Masanobu Sato said: “The high visibility of the shops in shopping districts has definitely helped ignite a buzz in the areas, with Tenga’s bold branding standing out proudly in the streets. This is definitely something we’d love to try overseas too!”
